Cormar Carpet Company has been making carpets in Lancashire at their two mills since 1956 and is an award-winning, British family-run business. With their own fleet of vehicles, they deliver carpets from distribution centres in Hemel Hempstead and Bury to around 3,000 Cormar retailers across the UK and Ireland. Their carpet and flooring division has won more than fifty industry awards, including being named "Best Carpet Manufacturer 2021" by Interiors Monthly readers and named "Carpet Supplier of The Year" by F1 for 13 consecutive years.
The company founded in 1924 was originally a textile supplier based in the Rossendale Valley, called Greenwood & Coope Ltd. Neville Cormack founded Cormar Carpets in 1956 with the advent of tufting, a new method of making carpets. In their two Lancashire mills - Brookhouse Mill, in Greenmount, and Holme Mill, in Ramsbottom - they've been producing carpets for over 60 years. Maintaining a local, family feel is paramount to them. In the same way, as a family business committed to family values, they do their utmost to understand your home and create the final piece of the jigsaw to make your home "just right".
