Protecting your grass against pet odours

Maintaining a lawn can prove to be tiring, even for the biggest gardening enthusiasts. It doesn’t have to be this way however, as there are other, more suitable alternatives available for you to choose from. We are of course talking about buying artificial grass online, and there is no better company for this than our own.

What impact does artificial turf have for pet owners?

Before they switch to artificial turf pet owners should consider what impact it will have on them. By now, you’re probably well aware of the benefits offered by this grass, such as eco friendliness and a lack of dirt. However, you should know that it is a wonderful option for pet owners too, and for many excellent reasons.

Odour protection

Odour protection is definitely one of the most significant advantages of investing in artificial greenery. Cleaning up after your pets is far easier with faux lawns than it is with the real thing. You can opt to either pick up their waste as usual, or get the hose and wash everything away.

Urine can present a problem though, if you aren’t sufficiently prepared. Natural grass absorbs it without much fuss, but the job is only half completed with artificial grass. As time goes on, odours develop that can become more apparent, even if you clean regularly.

Seeking out an experienced installer can help alleviate this issue. Additionally, if your pets are regular visitors to the grass, it would be ideal to introduce a lawn deodoriser at the base while the installation is taking place. This will aid you immensely in keeping odours at bay later down the line.
