When choosing an Artificial Grass it is important to consider the density of the type you are looking at. Some grasses may be thick but have a low stitch rate whereas a shorter pile grass could have a higher stitch rate and therefore be denser and heavier than a thicker grass. The technical term for this is Decitex, abbreviated as dtex, this is a unit of measurement that indicates the linear mass of yarn in decigrams, per 10,000 metres. In other words, it relates to the weight, or density, of the yarn used to make artificial grass. The higher the Dtex the denser and heavier the product.
